Description

Information that is presented electronically is often more accessible than standard print for instance:

  • Font sizes can be chanted in documents and web pages  

  • Colors can be customized to individual viewing preferences

  • Screen reading software can read electronic text aloud and navigate using embedded structural information.

Nathan White, Accessible Information Technology Coordinator at the Northwest Americans with Disabilities Act & Information Technology Center, will discuss Accessible File Formats. This session examines the accessibility of various file formats such as HTML, Microsoft Word, and Acrobat PDF, and helps participants create more accessible documents.
