Disability Art & Culture Project: Festival 2007
Performance Evening

Central Lutheran Church, 1820 NE 21st Ave, Portland

Description

Performances includes:

  • “Stretch” a dance exploring many bodies moving as one bodies

  • “Prologue” a Butoh inspired piece exploring the relationship between nature, industry and the human body

  • “Revo Crip Chicks” Themes on the evolution and revolution of the crip experience.

  • “Facing Grealy” Cancer in three movements

  • "My Wheelchair Pulls My Pants Down" and other things about my power chair that no one ever told me. 

  • “Tides” an acoustic and moving pun on the respiratory phrase, "Tidal Volume", the sound and experience of mechanically assisted breathing, and the corresponding sound and pattern of the oceans waves and tides.

In an effort to make our events accessible to as wide a range of people as possible, please refrain from wearing perfumes, colognes, or scented hair and laundry products.
