Description: Many journal articles suggest that within the next few years one out of every three people will encounter disabilities either for themselves or a family member. Although there is more dialog about how to work with this population in the workplace, there are still challenges facing people with disabilities when it comes to being taken seriously. The disability conversation is the "elephant in the room" that is now in many workplaces which is difficult to discuss.

Disability, diversity and inclusion will be the subject of this webinar.  Participants will explore such topics as:
  • Moving beyond compliance so we can have a breakthrough in working with people with disabilities
  • Learn the five dimensions of inclusion which will help bring common denominators to all workers
  • Provide clarity to managers and leaders on what they can do to create positive working relationships with this group of people
  • Study the role of the individual who has the disability in shaping colleague perception of them as individuals and coworkers

Participants will leave with some tools to reduce tension and apprehension on the job. They will begin the process of seeing people with disabilities as "value added" to teams and organizations.  The session promises to be lively and interactive.
