We are currently
recruiting Oregon employers who will be listing internship opportunities
with the Center. In the meantime, here are some exciting internship
programs that might be of immediate interest to you:
Congressional Internship Program -
Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation&
AAPD offer multiple internships as congressional interns for students
with disabilities.
Emerging Leaders - an internship program for students with
disabilities that draws interns from across the US.
Entry Point - is a program of
the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) offering
internship opportunities for students with disabilities in Science,
Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, and some fields of Business.
Incight - this Oregon-based organization has an internship program
(paid and unpaid positions) for both high school and college students
with disabilities.
Information Technology Internships -
Microsoft Corporation and the American
Association of People with Disabilities offer multiple summer
internships for college and university students with disabilities
interested in careers in information technology.
Kennedy Center for Performing Arts - has approximately 60 internship
opportunities annually and is more than willing to consider and
accommodate interns with disabilities.
The Washington Center - 50 competitive internship positions to help
students with disabilities develop leadership skills and gain valuable
work experience in public service.In
addition, students will be exposed to community, national and
international leaders through workshops, seminars, lectures, embassy
visits and networking events held throughout the course of each
semester.
Through The Looking Glass - has a unique scholarship program for U.
S. students who have at least one parent with a disability.
