OBLN Mission


Mission

The OBLN is an employer-led organization that seeks to improve employment prospects and consumer choices for people with disabilities by raising employer awareness around the positive benefits to business for actively including people with disabilities in the work force and as consumers.

Vision

We will be the key statewide business led organization for fostering the employment of people with disabilities.  Our diverse, talented, and active leadership will propel our success.  With strong partnerships, excellent events and programs, critical information, and enthusiastic funders, we will make the employment of people with disabilities an achievable top priority for businesses in Oregon.

Underlying assumptions of the Oregon Business Leadership Network

  • That Oregon business needs the workplace skills and experience and consumer participation of people with disabilities to be fully competitive or successful.
     

  • That people with disabilities are an important part of workplace and leadership diversity.
     

  • That accommodation is a key business strategy for competitiveness.
     

  • That a culture of inclusion is a leadership strategy recognized at the top and practiced at all levels.
