Outsourcing

More and more people with disabilities are choosing self employment and entrepreneurship as their chosen career paths. In fact, according to US Census data, people with disabilities have higher rates of self-employment (12.2 percent) than people without disabilities (7.8 percent).

In addition to recruiting and hiring more employees with disabilities, companies can also outsource the provision of goods and services to companies that are either owned by people with disabilities or that purposefully employ people with disabilities.
